CREATORS, ARTISTS, INVENTORS, MUSICIANS, DESIGNERS, INNOVATORS,
and so much more!

Arts and STEM are key components of our educational program. Our goal is to provide our students with opportunities to develop critical thinking, technical, problem solving, motor and communication skills; as well as the knowledge and creativity to be better world citizens. Students develop a lens through which they can critically view and understand the interconnected and multicultural nature of their world and develop the skills to identify and solve complex problems from a position of empathy and understanding.  

Whether a budding artist, inventor, or tinkerer, or from a more skilled position or advanced base of knowledge, our programs continue to provide students with extensive opportunities to further develop and showcase their skills and prepare them for their future. Middle School programs expand on the foundations established in Elementary School and refine their skills as students make connections between their subjects.

Arts and STEM in Middle School

Our Artists:

  • Stimulate their imagination, challenge perceptions and develop creative and analytical skills
  • Are encouraged to understand arts in context and the cultural histories in support of an inquiring and empathetic world perspective
  • Are challenged to create personal identity and become aware of the aesthetic in the real-world
  • Develop drawing, design, painting, sculpture, ceramic, mixed media and digital art techniques.

Our Theatre Artists:

  • Stimulate their young imagination, challenge perceptions and develop creative and analytical skills
  • Are encouraged to understand arts in context and the cultural histories in support of an inquiring and empathetic world perspective
  • Are challenged to create personal identity and become aware of the aesthetic in the real-world
  • Join winter and spring productions, as well as develop minor in-class productions
  • Recent productions include: In the Heights, 21 Jump Street, and Clue

Our Musicians:

  • Stimulate their young imagination, challenge perceptions and develop creative and analytical skills
  • Are encouraged to understand arts in context and the cultural histories in support of an inquiring and empathetic world perspectived
  • Are challenged to create personal identity and become aware of the aesthetic in the real-world
  • Offerings include Music for Life in 7th and 8th grade, and Chorus in 9th grade

Students Embark On:

  • Design courses
  • Formal laboratory sciences and mathematics stud
  • Practical application of principles in all areas
  • Mathematics offers a problem-based curriculum where students explore concepts in depth and become effective mathematical thinkers and communicators
  • Offerings include exciting opportunities like: math competition teams, NASA Rover Mission Teams, Design Challenges, etc.
